Violators who fail to comply with the measure and make use of Quads and similar vehicles in the municipal area face administrative sanctions. "The measure seeks to protect agricultural production and the natural and rural environment from the deterioration and noise generated by these vehicles," they point out from the consistory.
The Vilaflor de Chasna City Council has proceeded to place road signs that prohibit the movement of quads, buggies, trial motorcycles or vehicles of a similar nature through the municipal area.
The measure is part of the Vehicle Traffic Regulation Ordinance that was approved last year by the municipal government team in response to the proliferation and tourist and recreational use of these vehicles on agricultural and rural tracks, roads and streets of the municipality.
The Vilaflor de Chasna City Council has made this decision also in response to the discomfort expressed by the public, who have denounced the deterioration suffered by their agricultural production and the tracks and access roads to the farms due to the frequent and inappropriate passage of these vehicles.
In addition, the consistory intends to preserve the natural and rural environment of the municipality, characterized by its tranquility, in the face of excessive noise generated by these vehicles when driving through urban and rural areas.
Failure to comply with this prohibition entails the application of the corresponding administrative sanction as established in the municipal ordinance.
